To ensure a smooth start to your journey, it’s recommended to arrive the previous night and book a hotel room, which we can arrange for you.
We pass through pineapple plantations and coffee farms on our way to Samburu National Reserve. We’ll spend 4 nights here, exploring the reserve and the nearby Samburu & Buffalo Springs National Reserves on game drives. Hopefully, capture stunning images of big cats in their natural habitat.
Experience the diverse wildlife of Northern Kenya as we explore Samburu National Reserve on our big mammals photography tour. This arid region is home to a variety of species that are found only in this area, north of the Equator. Look out for Gravy’s Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and large herds of Elephants, Impalas, Grant’s and Thompson’s Gazelles.
Spot the very witty-looking Vulturine Guineafowl, a species we hope to see on our tour. And get a glimpse into the local culture as we visit the Samburu tribesmen, who closely resemble and share the Maa language with the Masai. Their homesteads are a treat to visit and will provide a unique perspective on their way of life
