Tanzania Wildlife Tour - 10 Days

Covering: Arusha National Park, Serengeti National park, Tarangire National park, Lake Manyara National park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 1: Arrive Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport to be met by your safari guide and after a pre-tour briefing embark on a drive to your hotel for a rest.

Day 2: Arusha National Park

After an early morning breakfast we’ll depart for Arusha National Park where we’ll sample some of the common African mammals and birds along different habitats like savanna, forest inhabited by inquisitive Blue Monkeys, acrobatic Black-&-White Colobus Mon

keys, colorful turacos. Mammals include African Buffalo, Waterbuck, Masai Giraffe, Common Zebras among others.

Day 3 and 4: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, drive west to Tarangire National Park about 120 km where herds of elephants scratch the dry river beds for underground water and thought to be the greatest concentration of wildlife outside Serengeti ecosystem in Tanzania, including spectacular Fringe-eared Oryx.

Day 5: Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park

En-route gamedrive after breakfast, leaving the park for Lake Manyara arriving in good time for early lunch. After lunch take a drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing drives.

Day 6: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, leave for Serengeti National Park (one of Tanzanias’ oldest and most popular parks) with our day picnic lunch boxes and taking an en-route game drive on our way to the lodge through the park arriving before dusk.

Day 7: Serengeti National Park

We have an option of a full day game drive or a whole morning and a 4pm game drive. Game includes Cape Buffalos, Common Zebras, Grants and Thomson’s Gazelles, Common Elands, Kongonis, Impalas, among predators such as Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, hyenas. The vast landscape is a major attraction in itself and never disappoints.

Day 8: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, take our picnic lunches and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, hopefully our picnic time arrives near Olduvai Gorge Prehistory Museum. Later driving along the crater rim to our lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast bring along our picnic lunch boxes and descend into the crater floor.  Characterized by vast expanses of highland plains, savanna woodlands and forests; the area was established as a multiple land use area, with wildlife coexisting with semi-nomadic Maasai pastoralists practicing traditional livestock grazing. It includes the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world largest caldera, Wildlife includes Black Rhino, the density of wildlife inhabiting the Ngorongoro Crater and surrounding areas throughout the year, and the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles and other ungulates into the northern plains. In the evening we return to our lodge.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Arusha

After a late morning breakfast leave for Arusha and shopping along the way. A late lunch in town before a transfer to Kilimanjaro International airport timely for your International flight.
